Sundari Amma

Sri Vidya Upāsaka and Teacher

Sundari Amma – The very first disciple of Guruji Sri Amritananda Natha Saraswati, a sincere Upasaka since 1978, wonderful orator, a teacher, and guide for many disciples of Guruji. She seamlessly connects philosophy and mysticism to the present-day lifestyle, draws out the relationship between Macrocosm and Microcosm and much more. She explains the Tattva of the Devatas worshipped in Sri Vidya Upasana in a lucid way so that newcomers too feel the connection with the Divine. She skillfully weaves the concepts of Chakras and Kundalini Shakti and explains the symbolism present in Sri Vidya with clarity and ease, such that viewers are able to comprehend the layers of meaning. The language she uses is simple and it is a delight to watch and hear her. Despite decades of Upasana, she says with a smile…there is still so much to learn.

Sheela Chavan

Sri Vidya Upāsaka and Teacher

Sheela Chavan or Sheelamma as she is more popularly known as, is our senior Teacher for the Sri Vidya Courses – the Flagship Course at Devipuram. Drawn to the worship of Devi from a young age, she used to chant the Lalita Sahasranamam, and over the years, was told by several learned persons that she would receive Sri Vidya mantras from another Guru. It was in Rochester, New York that she was initiated by Guruji Sri Amritananda Natha Saraswati in 1989, thus beginning her deep association with Sri Vidya and Devipuram. At the behest of Guruji, she made Devipuram her home and was personally ordained by Guruji to perform many rituals especially Homas and also teach the Sri Vidya Courses. She has been teaching the courses at Devipuram and several locations abroad. Though a hard task-master, she is always available to clear the doubts of the students.

Radha Marthi

Sri Vidya Upāsaka and Teacher

A double graduate in physics and classical dance, Radha imbibed the principles of Sri Vidya right from her childhood. Guruji Sri Amritananda’s second daughter, she received the diksha in her teens and deepened her Sadhana after her marriage. She focused intensely on spiritual practice and meditation in equal parts during the many years spent abroad. Not content with just the know-how of the rituals, she derives joy in learning the concepts behind them and co- relating symbolism to science. Since the year 2016, she has been residing at Devipuram, engaged in performing the various unique empowerment rituals in various locations in India and abroad. She has been teaching the Sri Vidya residential courses and has been involved in researching deeper insights into spirituality. She has also been involved deeply in adapting the Sri Vidya courses for an online audience. She is devoted to furthering Guruji’s vision of making Sri Vidya accessible to seekers across the world.
